Terms of Service
Clear, fair terms for our Bubble-to-code export service.
Last updated: February 1, 2026
1. Service Description
BubbleExport.com (“BubbleExport,” “we,” “us”) provides a service that converts Bubble.io applications into production-ready custom code. This includes converting your app’s front-end UI, back-end workflows, database schema, and API integrations into a modern tech stack (typically Next.js, React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL). By using our service, you agree to these terms.
2. Code Ownership — You Own Everything
Upon completion of the export and receipt of full payment, you own 100% of the generated code. Specifically:
- All source code, database schemas, and documentation are transferred to you with full intellectual property rights
- There are no licensing restrictions, royalties, or ongoing fees tied to the exported code
- You are free to modify, extend, redistribute, or commercialize the code in any way
- We retain no rights to your exported code after delivery and payment
- You retain all rights to your original Bubble app, its content, branding, and business logic — our service converts your existing intellectual property into a different format
We may retain anonymized, non-identifiable process learnings (e.g., migration patterns for certain Bubble plugin types) to improve our service, but we will never retain, reuse, or share your proprietary code, data, or business logic.
3. Project Scope & Consultation
Every project begins with a free consultation call where we:
- Review your Bubble app’s complexity (pages, workflows, database types, plugins)
- Define the scope of work in writing, including what will and will not be included in the export
- Agree on the target tech stack, hosting environment, and delivery format
- Provide a fixed-price quote and estimated timeline
The agreed scope of work serves as the definitive reference for what is included in your project. Any changes to scope after the project begins will be discussed, agreed upon in writing, and may affect pricing and timelines.
4. Payment Terms
All prices are quoted and payable in USD.
- Starter projects (up to 5 pages): Full payment is required before work begins.
- Professional and Enterprise projects: Payment is split into two milestones — 50% upfront before work begins, and 50% upon delivery and your acceptance of the exported code.
We accept payment via Stripe (credit card, debit card). Invoices are provided for all payments.
5. Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our work:
- Pre-delivery review: Before final delivery, we provide a walkthrough of the exported code and a staging deployment so you can verify the output matches the agreed scope.
- Scope guarantee: If the delivered code does not match the agreed scope of work, we will revise it at no additional cost until it does.
- Refund policy: If we are unable to deliver the agreed scope, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel after work has begun but before delivery, the upfront payment is non-refundable as it covers work already performed, but no further payment will be due.
6. Delivery & Acceptance
Delivery timelines are agreed upon during the consultation and vary by project complexity:
- Starter (up to 5 pages): Typically 1–2 weeks
- Professional (up to 15 pages): Typically 2–4 weeks
- Enterprise (15+ pages): Typically 4–8 weeks
These are estimates based on typical project complexity. Your specific timeline will be confirmed during consultation. We will notify you promptly if any delays arise.
Upon delivery, you will receive:
- Complete source code in a private Git repository
- Database schema and migration files
- API documentation
- Deployment instructions for your hosting environment
- A walkthrough call to review the codebase
You will have 7 business days after delivery to review the code and confirm it matches the agreed scope. If you do not raise any issues within this period, the project is considered accepted.
7. Support Period
Each package includes a post-delivery support period that begins on the date of acceptance:
- Starter: 30 days of support
- Professional: 60 days of support
- Enterprise: 90 days of support
Support includes:
- Bug fixes for issues in the exported code that prevent it from functioning as specified in the scope
- Assistance with deployment to your hosting environment
- Answering questions about the codebase structure, architecture, and how to extend it
- Minor adjustments to match the original Bubble app’s behavior (if discrepancies are found)
Support does not include:
- New feature development beyond the original scope
- Changes to third-party services or APIs you integrate after delivery
- Ongoing maintenance, hosting, or server administration
Support requests are handled via email at hello@bubblexport.com with a typical response time of 1 business day.
8. Confidentiality
We treat all client information as confidential. This includes your Bubble app credentials, database contents, business logic, user data, and any proprietary information shared during the project.
- We will not share, disclose, or sell your information to any third party
- Access to your Bubble app will be limited to team members directly working on your export
- All access credentials you provide will be used solely for the purpose of the export and deleted upon project completion
- If you require a formal NDA, we are happy to sign one before the project begins
9. Data Handling During Export
During the export process, we may need temporary access to your Bubble app and its database to accurately replicate your application’s structure and behavior. Here is how we handle your data:
- We access your Bubble app in read-only mode wherever possible
- Any data downloaded for schema analysis or testing is stored on encrypted, access-controlled systems
- All client data (app exports, database samples, credentials) is permanently deleted within 14 days of project completion
- We do not migrate your production user data as part of the standard export — we create the schema and migration tools so you can handle data migration on your own terms
For details on how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
10. Your Responsibilities
To ensure a successful export, you agree to:
- Provide timely access to your Bubble app (editor access or collaborator invite)
- Respond to clarifying questions within a reasonable timeframe during the project
- Review and provide feedback on deliverables within the agreed acceptance period
- Ensure you have the right to export the app (i.e., you own it or have authorization from the owner)
Delays caused by late access, unresponsive communication, or scope changes initiated by you may extend the delivery timeline.
11. Limitation of Liability
BubbleExport’s total liability for any claim arising from our service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific project. We are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost revenue or data)
- Issues arising from modifications you make to the code after delivery
- Third-party service outages (hosting providers, APIs, payment processors)
- Performance of your Bubble app during or after the export process
We recommend thoroughly testing the exported code in a staging environment before deploying to production and cutting over from your Bubble app.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate a project with written notice. If you terminate after work has begun, the upfront payment is non-refundable, but you will receive all work completed up to that point. If we terminate, you will receive a full refund of any payments made.
13. Modifications to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Changes do not apply retroactively to projects already in progress — the terms in effect at the time of your consultation apply to your project.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
